Abstract

Education is universally recognized as a catalyst for national development, with entrepreneurship education playing a pivotal role in fostering innovation, job creation, human capital development, and economic growth. Entrepreneurship education equips individuals with essential skills for self-employment and self-reliance, serving as a critical driver of economic advancement. This paper explores the concept of entrepreneurship education, its fundamental components, and its impact on job creation and economic growth. Additionally, it examines the challenges hindering the effective implementation of entrepreneurship education in Nigeria. Through a case study approach, the study analyzes key issues surrounding this academic discipline and highlights its significance in supplying the skilled workforce needed to drive innovation and economic development. The findings suggest that integrating entrepreneurship education into the curriculum at all levels of education will enhance entrepreneurial opportunities for young people, significantly reducing unemployment and stimulating economic growth. The study advocates for a more structured and practical approach to entrepreneurship education to maximize its impact on national development.
